Vasily Vladimirovich Chernikov ia s member of the 'Memorial' society in Nachotka, which tires to keep alive the memory of parents and grandparents imprisoned in the Gulag. His grandfather, Nikita Petrovich Chernikov, was arrested on December 27, 1937. He worked as a security guard in the local clinic, in the city of Barnaul, Altayski Kray. He was executed on January 6, 1938. Officials documented his officially rehabilitation in 1956.
